Altronix NetWay1XP single port power injector is a type ofmidspan power injectorthat uses Power-over-Ethernet (PoE) technology for supplying power and passing on data (text, audio and video) when connected with PoE devices directly or with non PoE devices through a separate adapter. These devices can be at a maximum distance of 100 m from the midspan NetWay1XP injector. This injector is supplied with power using a plug-in transformer having a voltage rating of 24VAC or 24VDC at 1.5A current. The NetWay1XP power injector's RJ45 port provides power at 15 / 30W and transmits data over ethernet (CAT5) cable. This device passes data over an ethernet / data cable that is already in place instead of installing additional power sockets for each of the devices, thereby reducing extra wiring. It has insulated housing with a lightweight & compact design for easy installation in a limited space. This injector comes with numerous safety features like short circuit protection, PoE manual shutdown (UL60950-1 application only), auto-detection & protection facility of legacy non-PoE cameras / devices and LED indicators for port status & IP link status.
