Non-Contact Forehead Infrared
Extech's IR200 non‑contact forehead infrared thermometer is designed for screening individuals for elevated skin temperature.
The non‑contact design eliminates the need for replacement probes, probe covers and other single‑use supplies. It also helps individuals maintain a safe distance from one another to prevent the spread of illness.
The IR thermometer is accurate within 0.5 degree Fahrenheit, with a resolution of 0.1 degrees when measuring skin temperatures between 89.6 to 108.5 degrees Fahrenheit.
An adjustable alarm alerts the user both visually and audibly when temperature exceeds a programmed limit. The temperature reading is displayed in under a second, so the user can move from target to target quickly without delay.
Note that this IR thermometer is intended for screening individuals only. It is not intended for clinical use and clinical thermometers are strongly encouraged when a high‑accuracy body temperature measurement is critically important.
